Volleyball Recap: Huntington Park Takes a Loss

Huntington Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Roosevelt Rough Riders. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Rough Riders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Huntington Park was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10, 25-15.

Huntington Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntington Park will challenge South Gate at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they will square off against Mendez at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mendez will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Roosevelt surely won't give up without a fight.
