Charlotte is a perfect 10-0 against Port Charlotte since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Fightin' Tarpons will head out on the road to square off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Charlotte will be strutting in after a win while Port Charlotte will be coming in after a loss.

Charlotte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Venice, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fightin' Tarpons were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Indians on Tuesday. The Fightin' Tarpons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd.

Dava Hoffer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addi Recker, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Nataly Ordonez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Port Charlotte fell victim to Mariner and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tritons. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Port Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Charlotte, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Charlotte took their win against Port Charlotte in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fightin' Tarpons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
