Basketball Recap: Navarro Takes a Loss

Navarro extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-13. They were beaten by the Southwest Legacy Titans 59-30. The Panthers lost against the Titans in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 48-43 score last time.

As for Southwest Legacy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-11. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 21st (when they won 52-13).

Garnelle Zor was her usual excellent self, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 23 points and seven steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in November. Another player making a difference was LaNiya Pollard, who scored ten points and five boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Navarro and University will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Legacy will take on South San Antonio in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
