Basketball Recap: Iron Mountain Comes Up Short

Iron Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Calumet Copper Kings. While losing is never fun, the Mountaineers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Copper Kings are ranked 126th).

Iron Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Calumet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Iron Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calumet, they will take on Hancock at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
