Basketball Game Preview: Royal Valley Panthers vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws

The Royal Valley Panthers will challenge the Perry-Lecompton Kaws on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Royal Valley challenged Holton on Tuesday. Royal Valley managed a 55-50 victory over Holton.

Meanwhile, Perry-Lecompton came into Saturday's matchup having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Valley Falls by a score of 48-40 on Saturday. The Kaws' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Perry-Lecompton's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11-1. As for Royal Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-5.

Royal Valley skirted past Perry-Lecompton 36-34 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Royal Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Perry-Lecompton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
