Baseball Recap: Idabel Takes a Loss

Idabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Broken Bow Savages. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Savages apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Tyler Dillard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Idabel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Broken Bow, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Idabel will challenge Soper at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Broken Bow, they will face off against Hugo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
