Softball Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short

Interlachen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in March.

Ashlynn Poole was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Baileigh Riddley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Interlachen's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for P.K. Yonge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Interlachen is taking a road trip to square off against Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for P.K. Yonge, they will be playing at home against Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
