Softball Recap: Orcutt Academy Spartans vs. San Luis Obispo Tigers

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Orcutt Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the San Luis Obispo Tigers. The win was nothing new for Orcutt Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lylah Garcia and Valerie Gonzales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Garcia didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Gonzales pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (she also only allowed one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
