Lakeland Preparatory won the last time they faced Haywood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Tomcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lakeland Preparatory took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Tess Terpstra and Abby Stevens, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Madelynn Chauffe and her 19 assists. Emma Morgan and Reese Harrell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Lakeland Preparatory's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Haywood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Lakeland Preparatory will head out to challenge Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Mustangs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Haywood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bolton at 5:30 p.m.
