Soccer Game Preview: Bingham vs. Herriman

The Bingham Miners are taking a road trip to challenge the Herriman Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Herriman took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bingham, who comes in off a win.

Bingham will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Copper Hills last Friday. The Miners came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 4-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Bingham's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Copper Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sam Leggat (2), Mason Simmons, and Alek Russell.

Meanwhile, Herriman was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Mountain Ridge, falling 8-1. Herriman were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Bingham's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Bingham beat Herriman by a goal when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 2-1. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
