Somerville hadn't done well against Revere recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Highlanders came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Somerville's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Revere, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Somerville will challenge rival Chelsea at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Highlanders have lost three straight at home , while the Red Devils have lost seven on the road. Meanwhile, Revere is set to face off against their familiar foe Lynn Classical at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
