It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cambridge had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Cedartown Bulldogs. Cambridge's win was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only 13.45 points allowed on the season.

Weston Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 441 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Craig Dandridge was Taylor's top target, picking up 173 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Cedartown still got an impressive performance from Juelz Davis, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Davis has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Gibbons Jr, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.

Cambridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Cedartown, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 9-2.

Cambridge has already played their next contest, a 41-22 win against Central on the 22nd. Cedartown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
