Softball Recap: Fulton Takes a Loss

Fulton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Coleman on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Comets by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Coleman, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Fulton by a score of 22-7 later that day.
