York waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Lyons Lions. This was payback for the Dukes, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

York got a great performance from Jack Bodach as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Bodach has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, York let Josh Fleming and Drew Gami run wild. Fleming went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Gami got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Luke Pieczynski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

York pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Lyons, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.

York will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
