Volleyball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Comes Up Short

The Charleston Collegiate Sundevils came up short against the Cross Stingrays on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Sundevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Charleston Collegiate started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.

Charleston Collegiate now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Cross, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston Collegiate will square off against Porter-Gaud at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cross, after both having extra time off, they and Coastal HomeSchool will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
