Soccer Recap: Orion/Sherrard Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Orion/Sherrard lost against East Moline United back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The United came up short against the Panthers, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Orion/Sherrard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while East Moline United are ranked 25th).

Orion/Sherrard's goal came courtesy of Chase Laird, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Orion/Sherrard and nudges their season record down to 0-3-2. As for East Moline United, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Orion/Sherrard wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Limestone on the 11th. As for East Moline United, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Galesburg on the 9th.
