Soccer Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Marietta was the 6-0 winner over Fairfield Union when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Marietta have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marietta's loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Fairfield Union, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marietta will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on September 2. As for Fairfield Union, they will challenge River View at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
