Baseball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

Stratford lost against East Nashville Magnet last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 15-3 to the Eagles. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Stratford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teroz Dowell, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Stratford now has a losing record of 3-4. As for East Nashville Magnet, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will face off against Antioch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for East Nashville Magnet, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Burros have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
