Softball Game Preview: Toledo Christian Eagles vs. Lakota Raiders

The Toledo Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Lakota Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Toledo Christian has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Lakota will come in with four straight wins.

Toledo Christian saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They lost 15-5 to Margaretta.

Meanwhile, Lakota earned a 4-1 victory over Arcadia on Tuesday.

Emma Jurovcik made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Jurovcik wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Moon, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Lakota's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Toledo Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
