St. John's Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over First Baptist School. The win continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won six in a row.

Sumter Moorer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jacob Glover was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, First Baptist School fell to 2-1. As for St. John's Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

St. John's Christian Academy beat First Baptist School 5-2 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. John's Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
