The Aletheia Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to take on the Snook Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aletheia Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.6 runs per game this season.
Aletheia Christian Academy barely beat Booker T. Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Wildcats 14-4 on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Summer Smith was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Varela, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Allie Reeder, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Snook Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Wilcox Academy on Tuesday and fell 14-13.
Lilly Lovin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Hayes, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Snook Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Aletheia Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .556. However, it's not like Snook Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
