Football Game Preview: Mahar Regional Senators vs. Ware Indians

Mahar Regional hasn't had much luck against Ware recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Senators will challenge the Indians at 7:00 p.m.

Mahar Regional is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Athol on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Senators came up short against the Bears, falling 28-8.

Mahar Regional didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lee Cruz Jr and Evan Nason.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ware). They walked away with a 27-14 victory over Franklin County Tech on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Mahar Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ware, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Mahar Regional came up short against Ware in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 12-6. Can the Senators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
