Given North Little Rock's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in Arkansas, while McKinney North is ranked 44th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, McKinney North still got an impressive performance from Kaelyn Hamilton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Hamilton's 25th in a row with at least ten points. Ciara Harris was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds.
North Little Rock's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for McKinney North, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
