Basketball Recap: Madison's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Harvey came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Madison, but Mac Steele wouldn't allow it. The Madison Blue Streaks snuck past the Harvey Red Raiders with a 65-61 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Steele, who went 12 of 19 on his way to 33 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Harvey's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dom Snyder, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Armani Hall, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

With the victory, Madison broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Harvey, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Madison will challenge Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harvey, they will venture away from home to challenge Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
