Volleyball Recap: Daniel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with River Bluff

Daniel faced River Bluff in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Gators.

Zara Russell paced Daniel's offense, picking up four kills. Russell got some help from Lydia Chasteen and her four assists. Chasteen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Daniel's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for River Bluff, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Daniel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Blythewood on the 27th. As for River Bluff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Nation Ford on the 27th.
