Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Broncos vs. Central City Bison

Centennial and Central City are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Centennial Broncos just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Central City Bison at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Centennial is coming into the match on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Centura on Friday.

Meanwhile, Central City hadn't done well against Ravenna recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Central City claimed a resounding 61-13 victory over Ravenna. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

Central City's win came from a few key players Centennial will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sydni Homolka, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Fousek, who earned 13 points.

The win (which was Central City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
