Recap: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. Mullins Auctioneers        
        
		
            
 This season hasn't been kind to the Carolina Forest Panthers, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were just a bucket shy of victory  on Friday and fell  61-60 to Mullins. While losing is never fun, Carolina Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 212th, while Mullins is ranked 94th).
 When it comes to explaining why Carolina Forest lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Nick  Zincone. Despite the final result, he  scored 24 points along with 6  rebounds and 5  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zech Gardner, who  scored 13 points.
 Leading Mullins to victory were  Deyon Ford and  Braden Hughes.  Ford  scored 21 points, while  Hughes  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 14  rebounds. The  game was  Ford's fifth in a row with at least ten points.  Ernest Ford was another key contributor,  scoring 6 points.
 Carolina Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mullins, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
 Carolina Forest will head out on the road to face off against North Myrtle Beach at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. North Myrtle Beach will be coming into the  matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Mullins, they will be playing at home against Loris at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
