Basketball Game Preview: Haverhill Hillies vs. Georgetown Royals

The Haverhill Hillies will head out to take on the Georgetown Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Haverhill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Haverhill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Billerica Memorial with a sharp 82-61 win on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Georgetown posted their closest win since January 26, 2024 on Sunday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Brookline 53-50. The win was all the more spectacular given the Royals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Warriors are ranked 30th).

Georgetown is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Haverhill, their record is now 6-11.
