Baseball Recap: Rio Rico Comes Up Short

Rio Rico lost to Cholla two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 4-3. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rio Rico's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Cholla, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Rio Rico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cholla, they will head out to take on Salpointe Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
