After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gray's Creek, Lumberton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Douglas Byrd Eagles with a sharp 21-0 win. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Norah Johnson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
