Baseball Recap: Heritage Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Heritage and Archbishop McCarthy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Heritage had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mavericks, falling 12-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Francisco, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

While Heritage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
