Baseball Game Preview: Olympic Heights Lions vs. West Boca Raton Bulls

Olympic Heights hasn't had much luck against West Boca Raton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lions will head out to square off against the Bulls at 6:30 p.m. Olympic Heights has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olympic Heights came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to Deerfield Beach.

Nathan Walters was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Mason Edwards was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, West Boca Raton came up short against St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, falling 13-5. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casey Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Fallacara-Saunders, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

West Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Olympic Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

West Boca Raton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Olympic Heights has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for West Boca Raton, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Olympic Heights keep running through batters, or will the Bulls buck the trend?
