Football Recap: Wayne County Yellow Jackets vs. Perry Panthers

Wayne County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Perry Panthers on the road and fell 56-7. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Panthers are ranked 45th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ahmad Gordon, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Decorrion Daniels, who gained 84 total yards and a touchdown.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Perry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
