Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Heritage Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-16 in the first set.

Heritage Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-22.

Macy Karlin had an outrageously good game for Maranatha Christian Academy as she had 20 digs and four aces. What's more, Karlin posted three assists, the most she's had over her last seven matches. Jalaina Tillman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-5. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will head out to challenge Kansas City Christian School on Tuesday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Paola at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
