Basketball Game Preview: Hanford Falcons vs. Kamiakin Braves

Hanford hasn't had much luck against Kamiakin recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hanford Falcons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Kamiakin Braves at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hanford is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Hermiston. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly five points.

Meanwhile, Kamiakin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-51 to Chiawana. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Riverhawks are ranked 35th).

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Kamiakin, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Things could have been worse for Hanford, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-41 loss to Kamiakin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Hanford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
