Volleyball Recap: Second Baptist Comes Up Short

Second Baptist lost against Lutheran South Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Pioneers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18.

Leading Lutheran South Academy to victory were Charlie Marsico and Julia Carpentier. Marsico had 16 digs and three assists, while Carpentier had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs gave Carpentier a new career-high.

Second Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Second Baptist will take on rival Logos Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Bay Area Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
