Soccer Game Preview: Oshkosh North vs. Appleton North

Oshkosh North is 0-6 against Appleton North since May of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Spartans will welcome the Lightning at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Oshkosh North's offense. They came up short against Fond du Lac on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Oshkosh North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Fond du Lac are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Appleton North had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Polar Bears get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Appleton North, who have now won eight matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Appleton North's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Oshkosh North, they now have a losing record of 4-5-2.
