Baseball Game Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. Luther Lions

The Bristow Pirates will take on the Luther Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Bristow made easy work of Pauls Valley and carried off an 8-2 win. Considering the Pirates have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

While Luther didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against McLoud by a score of 5-1 on Thursday.

Luther has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Bristow now has a winning record of 6-5.
