Softball Recap: Bonita Vista Beats Poway for Their Third Straight Victory

Bonita Vista extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 25-6 in the process. They blew past the Poway Titans 7-1. Considering the Barons have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bonita Vista got a great performance from Natalie Gonzalez as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Gonzalez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ariana Magdaleno, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Letuli, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

As for Poway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-8. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly six runs.

On Poway's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya McGowan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

As of now, neither Bonita Vista nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
