Basketball Recap: A Plus Academy Takes a Loss

If A Plus Academy was riding high fresh off their 68-45 takedown of Gateway Charter Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The A Plus Academy Knights had to suffer through a 58-18 loss at the hands of Young Men's Leadership Academy. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-35 back in January.

A Plus Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-11.

A Plus Academy has already played their next game (against Life Oak Cliff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Young Men's Leadership Academy will take on Village Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Village Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.
