Central Catholic was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Lake Oswego Lakers. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Central Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. As for Lake Oswego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Central Catholic and Lake Oswego will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams will face off against rival Gresham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Oswego is set to square off against their familiar foe Tigard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
