Recap: Aynor Blue Jackets vs. Waccamaw Warriors

The Aynor Blue Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 49-25 loss at the hands of Waccamaw. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Aynor has suffered against Waccamaw since January 16, 2020.

Austin Tanyika was Aynor's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Lucas Kamp held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waccamaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyrese Haynes, who scored seven points along with seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nate Kettels, who scored nine points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Aynor's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Waccamaw, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aynor will take on Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Waccamaw, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dillon at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Dillon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
