Football Game Preview: Everett Warriors vs. Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers

Everett is 0-3 against Berlin Brothersvalley since September of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Everett after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a hard 41-27 fall against Claysburg-Kimmel. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, Everett got top-tier performance from Jakobe Harman, who rushed for 190 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Harman's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Berlin Brothersvalley on Friday. They blew past Moshannon Valley 34-8. The victory continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their matchups with the Black Knights/Damsels: they've now won four in a row.

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Everett has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 232.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Berlin Brothersvalley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 150.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everett ended up a good deal behind Berlin Brothersvalley when the teams last played back in September, losing 35-19. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
