Softball Recap: Flippin Takes a Loss

Flippin fell victim to Cave City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Cavemen, falling 11-0. The Bobcats have struggled against the Cavemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Flippin's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Cave City, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Flippin will take on Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.53 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cave City, they will challenge West Side at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
