Recap: Henrietta Bearcats vs. Paradise Panthers
The Henrietta Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 50-28 defeat at the hands of Paradise. While losing is never fun, Henrietta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 998th, while Paradise is ranked 123rd).
It was another big night for Gazey Yates, who scored 20 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds for Paradise. Another player making a difference was Rylee Nichols, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Henrietta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Paradise, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Henrietta will be playing in front of their home fans against Jacksboro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ponder at 5:45 p.m. on December 12th.
