Football Recap: Northern Garrett Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Northern Garrett was the 31-21 winner over Albert Gallatin when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies received a blow on Friday as they fell 40-24 to the Colonials. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 70th in Maryland, while the Colonials are ranked 334th in Pennsylvania).

Albert Gallatin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Pegg, who picked up 67 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 49 yards and one score. Pegg was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 57 yards. Bronx Jamison was another key player, rushing for 33 yards and one touchdown.

Northern Garrett's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Albert Gallatin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Garrett will challenge Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Albert Gallatin, they will face off against Uniontown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonials will be up against the Red Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
