Volleyball Recap: Rim of the World Finds Home Court Redemption Against Rio Hondo Prep

There's no place like home for Rim of the World, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rio Hondo Prep Kares on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fighting Scots have posted since September 7, 2024.

Rim of the World took Rio Hondo Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 15-6.

Rim of the World now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rim of the World has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Excelsior Charter on the 12th. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Duarte at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
