Softball Recap: Lemoore's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lemoore can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 14-11 win over the El Diamante Miners. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

McKenna Macias and Alliyah Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Macias scored three runs while going 3-for-5, while Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Rodriguez has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Natalie Silva, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Lemoore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lemoore's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for El Diamante, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6-1.

Lemoore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-0 defeat against Monache on the 2nd. El Diamante has also already played their next matchup (against Clovis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
