Volleyball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Addy Smith and Jossy Byars

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy was the 3-0 winner over Peninsula Catholic when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Knights on Tuesday. The Saints' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jossy Byars, who had 16 assists and 15 digs, and Addy Smith, who had ten digs and one assist.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Peninsula Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
