Basketball Game Preview: Graham Red Devils vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles

Graham is 0-10 against Eastern Alamance since December of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Red Devils will square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Graham didn't have quite enough to beat Southern Alamance and fell 73-71.

Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance entered their tilt with Southeast Alamance on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 77-71 W against the Stallions. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Stallions on their court since November 30, 2023.

Eastern Alamance's win came from a few key players that Graham will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Mcpherson, who shot 60% from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Eichmann, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 20 points and seven boards.

Eastern Alamance was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 17-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Eastern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Graham, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Graham couldn't quite get it done against Eastern Alamance when the teams last played last Tuesday as they fell 79-71. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
